New. You cannot adequately measure ultrasonic frequencies unless you have a special amplifier which will amplify electronic signals in the ultrasound bandwidth (BW). Even the highest quality, most expensive audio amplifiers don't amplify signals much above 20 KHz (the human upper hearing limit) - they cannot amplify ultrasonic BW signals so are useless for ultrasonic detection purposes such as ultrasonic attack, ultrasonic mind control, ultrasonic communications, outputs of ultrasonic equipment (such as pest controllers / animal controllers, ultrasonic cleaning tools, ultrasonic welding, ultrasonic distance measuring, natural ultrasonic phenomena (e.g. bats, insects, etc.) or any other ultrasonic signals), or high-frequency sonar or high-frequency electric fields, magnetic fields or electromagnetic fields. While oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers will display very low intensity ultrasonic BW signals that come directly from an ultrasonic transducer, because some ultrasonic signals are extremely weak (microvolts), only the most expensive scopes will amplify them enough for decent viewing or analysis (and these usually require 1X probes). For most oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers, you need an external ultrasonic BW amplifier to provide adequate signal boosting if you want to view ultrasonic signals more than 1 cm peak-to-peak on the scope or spectrum analyzer display. Furthermore, since scopes are wideband, they will amplify and display all detected signals throughout their entire huge signal bandwidth. Thus, noise frequencies both below and above the ultrasound BW will also be amplified and displayed along with the ultrasonic BW frequencies (e.g. 60 Hz electrical power interference), thus making viewing and analysis of the ultrasonic frequencies on a commercial scope garbled up with all of the noise without an ultrasonic amplifier in between much more difficult and sometimes virtually impossible. And unamplified ultrasonic BW signals are useless for any direct application of these signals.

New old stock (NOS). 6-Coil Electromagnetic Coil Assembly. Great as a motor stator (especially for spindle motors, servo motors and stepper motors), to create rotating magnetic fields, and for science projects. In fact, these were salvaged from the spindle motor of a new very high quality but obsolete floppy disk drive (few floppy disk drives have a coil arrangement like this). Coil board measure 3" x 3-1/2". Coil center-to-coil center spacing is 1-1/2". We don't know who makes this board. The IC is a BA6492FS, FDD Spindle Motor Driver IC for 3-phase, full-wave, soft switching motors. We find these multi-coil assemblies to be very useful for experimenting with rotating magnetic fields relevant to our research in radionics, mind control and electronic attack, because all the coils are virtually identical to each other with precise spacing - perfect for generating precision rotating magnetic fields. New old stock (NOS). We use these small, very high quality treble/ultrasonic transducers miniature speakers for both treble audio applications and ultrasonic applications. They are a small 20mm (2 cm) in diameter and 3 mm thick. They are 110 ohms, 2 mh. Images were taken under my 10X microscope which field was too small to capture all of the ultrasonic speaker with one shot, and we wanted to also show their really nice gold-plated speaker contacts. The permanent magnets on these ultrasound transducers are pretty strong, and we salvaged some of these speakers from my huge personal stock for their magnets.

These magnetic transducers / magnetic probes / magnetic electrodes / magnetic field probes / brainwave electrodes / brain probes can be used for both detecting/receiving and transmitting magnetic fields and as a small electromagnets, depending upon the piece of equipment it is connected to (under 100ma current). Originally bought for brainwave research, these magnetic transducers can be used for many applications, including but not limited to, brainwave detection, other psychic and paranormal research, other medical/biomedical research, small magnetic field detection, small metal detection, bug detection/tap detection (as well as bugging and tapping), some implant detection, isolated communications, material flaw detection, magnetic therapies, magnetic stimulations, magnetic key decoding, etc. These magnetic probes are also ideal for many magnetometer and field-strength meter devices and uses.

Cable length is 6-foot and is of a very high quality and pliable coaxial cable (coaxial cabling is required to absolutely minimize electrical noise pick-up). These magnetic transducers are about 3/16" diameter and about 1/4" long - an incredible 8.2mh inductance for their tiny size. On the other end is connected a mini-phone plug (we also have a few each with RCA plug, sub-mini phone plug and spade lugs, so if you need one of these, let us know). These magnetic transducers will both receive and transmit magnetic energy from about 0.3 Hz to about 300 KHz pulse, modulated and sinewave signals - covering the entire audio frequency bandwidth (BW), as well as most of the infrasonic BW and air ultrasonic BW.

When used in conjunction with a commercially-available audio amplifier or recorder, these magnetic transducers should be wired in as a dynamic microphone. Both infrasonic amplifiers and ultrasonic amplifiers are also available from us.

For use with living tissues (plant or animal), penetration or even direct contact to surface is not required, however, contact should be as close to surface as possible as air gaps diminish effectiveness. This means that these magnetic probes are non-invasive, and one does not have to use a gel, shave the area, touch the skin or other surface, or suffer electrode irritation (common to skin contact and invasive electrodes) to effectively use it. And that these magnetic probes can be effectively used over most light clothing and plastic wrap. As with all magnetic transducers, especially those used for sensitive or precision magnetic detection jobs, the magnetic transducer should be held as steadily as possible. This can be done using a steady hand, rubber bands, velcro or shower cap with a hole in it to pass the cable or tape (none of these are provided). For permanent use and non-living area contact, you might also consider using a cement, glue or other firm adhesive to attach the transducer rock-solid to the surface.

Used and works great. Galvanic skin response (GSR) metering is an excellent way to do biofeedback, relaxation and therapy. And it is also a great biomedical research tool. GSR meter is a known excellent indicator of stress levels (e.g. used in polygraphs / lie detectors), therefore, by training yourself using biofeedback to reduce your GSR, you should also be able to relax better and reduce your stress levels, and thereby hopefully live a longer, happier and healthier life. The included soft-pinch electrodes are non-invasive and hold onto the attached surface with light force (no tape or cement is required). We found that this great GSR meter provided us so much information about my physical self and was so useful in helping us better relax that we designed as part of a Lone Star Consulting, Inc. (El Paso, TX) project an advanced GSR meter (one that employs ultrasound to help trigger stronger and more definitive GSRs) which we currently use so we no longer need this one. Used but worked great last time we used it. Electronic biofeedback thermometer is portable and battery-operated. Generally employed for biofeedback, relaxation and stress reduction, and in mind control and brainwave entrainment research. It is 10.5" x 8" x 4.5", and built into a strong case, with a big easy-to-read meter. COMES WITH PROBES AND MANUAL. The two big, Eveready Energizer No. 266 (Neda 1605) 9-volt batteries it came with are depleted. We do not have replacements for these batteries; however, the power connectors to the system can be easily re-wired for the 9-volt radio batteries and 9-volt DC power adaptors commonly used today. We did not make this change because vintage equipment collectors prefer that such rare, vintage equipment be left as much in its original condition as possible, and new or rechargeable No. 266 batteries may be still available somewhere. There is no model number or boiler plate on it. It has a label that says, "AO", which most probably means Acousto-Optic." POWERFUL MIRRORED MULTI-COLORED STROBE / LASER
(MULTI-COLOR STROBOSCOPE) - SCIENTIFIC/INDUSTRIAL

Used and in good functioning condition. This laser/strobe is in a heavy duty steel chassis case, similar to the types of chassis and cases that HP and Tektronix builds their very high quality electronic test equipment into. The device is not labeled (no boilerplate), and we don't know who makes it or for what purposes it was made (when we bought it a few years ago, we were told that it originally came from Sandia Labs and used for multi-color laser applications like holography, but we can't verify this). We have had limited uses for it.

We do know that the device works fine, and produces a series of extremely brilliant pulsed lights. By adjusting the flash speed way down, it appears to us that red, green and blue flashes occur successively. This device contains what looks like to us three very expensive light sources of different colors and a set up of various mirrors, glass plates that allow half of the light to go through and half to be reflected (half-silvered, filters?), and lenses. It has a standard SCSI connector in the back. We have no documentation on it, and we don't know the pin-out of the SCSI, but more than likely, it was for a computer hook-up. Not shown but on center of the bottom of the device is a sturdy steel plate screwed in with a threaded hole, apparently so the device could easily be mounted on a photographic tripod. It is 15.75" x 7" x 5.5".

The first image set is of a photo taken from the front while the device was operating, and photos of the front and back of the device when it was turned Off. The second image is a photo of the device taken while operating, in the dark, and with my camera flash Off. The third image set is a photo from each side of the lamp/mirror area with device Off to try to show the arrangement of the lamps and glass plates. The fourth image set is a photo top view of the device Off, and a photo top view with of the device with its cover in place.

Strobes have many uses, not the least of which is for dances and discos, for timing, for setting and determining rotational speeds and linear velocities, as a self-defense and anti-burglary device, in video, photography and holography, for special effects, for signaling and rudimentary communications, in biomedical research, and in mind control, electronic attack, brain entrainment and biofeedback research. In very good condition. Please do not stare into this light - it is very brilliant, and could cause eye problems. It makes for one spectacular light show!

Specifically made for insulating T0-3 body type transistors, thyristors, et al, especially high-voltage or hot-operating (e.g. 2N3055s). For TO-3 transistor use, each transistor requires two stand-offs, one for each screw hole (for TO-3 use, both the mica and the standoffs are used to electrically insulate the electronic component from the aluminum heatsink).

RARE, VERSATILE STEEL LABORATORY DEVICE
VACUUM CHAMBER, PRESSURE COOKER, DISTILLER, AUTOCLAVE, etc.

Used and in good condition. Some external surface rust and discoloration. Rare, perhaps unique, versatile steel laboratory device. Can be used as a vacuum chamber, pressure cooker, distiller, mixing chamber, processing chamber, autoclave, etc. We bought it used, and have no idea what the original purpose or design of this device was, but whatever it was, it is certainly modifiable for other uses. The metal tube extending from the bottom is hollow, so probably used to remove or insert container contents. In bottom, right hand image, the inside of the bottom part appears to be brownish - it is not brownish (or dirty or rusty) but image color is a photo effect - its coloration is shiny metal about the same as the inside of the top part in that image. There is a fine mesh screen at the bottom (which contributes to its brownish appearance) which can be removed. The left image shows a height-adjustable 2-5/8" diameter platform, which can be used to hold a bunsen burner, flask, chemical container, reservoir, etc., depending on your application. The screw press on the top plus the bayonet-type locking mechanism at the bottom tightly secures the container parts together and to the frame for great resistance against both high pressures and low pressures. Standard plumbing fitting at the top of the top part lets you connect up a hose and/or pressure meter (hose and pressure meter not included). This chemical laboratory device is 19" high, 5-1/2" wide (across frame), 7-3/4" wide across base. Gap in frame is 4-9/16" wide. Each frame part is 1-1/2" wide, and about 1/2" thick. Pressure rating is unknown.

CRYOGENICS CYLINDER (Machined Aluminum)

Mint condition with no evidence of use we can find. We bought this at an estate sale where the family described it as a, "cryogenics cylinder." They did not know specific function or manufacture. We know little about cryogenics. Base diameter is 5.75". It is 7.25" tall with the base, and 7" tall without the base (i.e. just the cylinder). Cylinder outer diameter is 4", and its chamber opening is 3.75" diameter, 4.25" deep. On top are two 1" high ports, 1" outer diameter, 3/4" inner diameter (opening), non-threaded, spaced 2.625" apart (center-to-center). One port is bevelled at the top, the other is flat at the top. The bevelled-opening port extends into the chamber 1.375" deep as an aluminum tube, and opens into the chamber with a hole on side of this tube. The flat-opening port opens into some kind of "attic" above the chamber, which opens into the chamber with a port about 1" in diameter covered with a very fine mesh. Cylinder press fits into the base (no threads).

CARBON COMPOSITE CONE FORM / CONE SHAPE
for SCIENTIFIC, LABORATORY, SHOP, CRAFTS, MODEL-MAKING

This looks new but we can't tell for sure. Heavy, very hard, and apparently a 100% carbon composite cone form, apparently precision-machined and not cast. We can barely scratch it with a sharp X-Acto knife. Actual weight is 1.5 lbs and feels very solid. Base is 6.5" diameter, and it is about 3" tall. Undersided (not shown) is hollow in the cone area, about 2" deep to tip of cone, making the cone surface itself probably about 1" thick. Base "ring" is solid 1.25" wide all around and 1" tall. Material is an electrical insulator material and not magnetic. This is definitely some kind of industrial, scientific or laboratory type cone form. Can be used as a form for shaping, as some kind of mount or mold form, for scientific experiments and science fairs, to launch experimental rockets from, for various crafts, general shop uses, display uses, as part of a mold for casting, and as a cover of some type - many possible different uses. We collect weird scientific and electronic devices, and this is the first one of these we 've ever run into. Do you know what it is? This is apparently one of those kinds of things that when you need one, they are almost impossible to find and nothing else will do.

These very high quality soft rubber bulbs are 3" long and 2-1/4" in dia. There is a chromed ring around the neck of each bulb to give it strength there. (15) 5 mH, 11ohm SHIELDED "BRAINWAVE" TRANSDUCERS

New old stock (NOS). These shielded inductors are square and about 5/16" on a side and 3/8" tall (excluding pins). Coil is center-tapped (3-pins). Inductance is tunable from about 3mH to about 7.5mh (nominally set at about 5mH). These 5mH inductors are very useful in a variety of designs, including signal, RF, pulse generation, pick-up coil, transmitting coil, etc. We mostly use them to design some brainwave detection devices as they are sensitive to brainwaves, and refer to them as, "brainwave coils."
