These Leviton ball toggle switches are panel-mount switches with bakelite housing, and rated at: 6A @ 125V, 3A @ 250V, 3A @ 125VT (transient or pulse voltages). Threaded turret is 1/2" diameter. PUSH-ON NUTS/FERRULES: We find push-ON nuts to be much easier and faster and far less messy and unsightly for panel-installing smooth-post switches and pots than cement. Used and in very good condition. Rare big antique Knife Switch, SPDT, Porcelain Posts, made by Square D, Class 9320, Type 962. We do not know what the voltage or current ratings are for this Electric Power Switch / Electrical Switch. Base of this electrical switch / electric switch is 9-7/8" x 4" x 9/16 " wood (appears to be oak). Black base on top of wood is 8" x 2" x 1/4" fiber. Overall size is about 11" x 4" x 5-1/4", with switch down as in first image. Each porcelain riser is 3-5/8" tall; each square porcelain base itself is 2-1/2" x 1" x 1". We are not sure what the switch handle is made of; likely some kind of hard wood but not sure. The white splotches on the bottom of base appear to be paint splotches and should be removable.

These CW DPDT sidemount switches (2P2T switches) are rated at 3A (125VAC), 0.5A (125VDC), and 1.5A (250VAC). DPDT switches are 1-3/8" long, 1/2" wide with mounting hole spacing 1-1/8" (1/8" dia each). The control is 1/2" tall, 5/16" wide, 1/8" thick for easy operation. The connecting wires can be wrapped around the pins and soldered or fed through the pin holes and soldered, or you can connect wires to the pins using small slide-on connectors or clips. These DPDT switches are very versatile, for examples: (1) Using the two holes, you can compactly mount two switches back-to-back and then cement or heatshrink the control tops together to make one control, making the two switches operate simultaneously as one 4PDT switch (4P2T switch). (2) You can mount two switches front-to-front (e.g. separated by standoffs) so that all switch contacts are bunched together for wiring compactness. (3) You can mount these DPDT switches on the edge of or along the wall of your enclosure, using a nibbler or grinder to make a small slot in the cover for each switch control. These sliding switches are not rated on the switch or box, but we have used them without problem at 2A (125VAC), 0.3A (160VDC), and 1A (250VAC) (while we can't guarantee these values, we believe that the actual specs are closer to 10A, 2A and 5A, respectively). Sliding switches are 1-1/8" long, 3/8" wide. Switch shiny metal slotted cover acts as a nice heatsink for them. You can connect leads to the contacts by wrapping them around the pins, by using small push-on connectors or clips, or by soldering contacts directly to a PC board. The sliding post on these switches is on one of the long sides (not on the usual opposite side of the switch contacts), indicating that these switches were designed to be PC-board mounted with the post accessible through a slot in the enclosure. A small bracket (not provided) or just cement can be used to mount the switches on their backs with the contacts up for easier soldering of connections. These switches are also very versatile because you also can: (1) Compactly mount two switches back-to-back (using cement) and then join the control tops together to make one ganged switch (making two switches operate simultaneously as one multi-pole switch). Switch body is 9mm wide X 9.4mm tall X 6mm thick; overall length is about 15/16"; contacts are about 3/16" long bayonet type (3.4mm X 0.75mm X 0.5mm), spacing between outer contacts is 5.08mm. Toggle is 2.5mm dia, 8.5mm long, and switches 12 degrees both sides from vertical.
PUSH-ON NUTS/FERRULES: We find push-ON nuts to be much easier and faster and far less tedious for panel-installing switches and pots. Second image shows you what these nuts look like when applied to the switch post. Once pushed-ON, they hold very tight. How We Apply Push-ON Nuts: After we insert switch post through its panel hole we hold switch body firmly (but not tightly) using padded-jaw pliers (ordinary vise-grip pliers with jaws with heat shrink tubing padding), and then use a 1/4" - 3/8" nut driver to push the push-ON nut down the switch post until the switch is tight on the panel. (Vise-grip pliers and nut driver are not included.)

Used and in very good condition. Winland Mechanical Temperature Switch / Alert. Can be used as a thermostat. Works great and easy to use. Big, visible analog display easily viewed at much longer distances than most temperature gauges and thermostats. You simply move the end contacts to the temperatures you want the Winland to alert or switch to using a small screwdriver. The center contact indicates the temperature; if the temperature rises or falls, the center contact moves in that direction. When it comes into contact with one of the end contacts, it acts like the closure of a switch, which then can be used to activate an alert and/or to switch in heater or cooler controller to heat or cool the area to keep the temperature under control through your selected range. We don't know what it is rated at; we've tested the contacts at 120 VAC and 160 VDC and 10A and it worked fine. Great for regulating temperature ranges for home and business use, for experiments, and for equipment and real property you have left alone for some time and you don't want to overheat and/or get too cold. Can be used in conjunction with other thermostats you now use.

New old stock DIP/DIL relays (NOS). Very high quality G5V-1 SPDT relays, Omron. Coil specs: 5VDC, 315 ohms. Contact Specs: 1.0A @ 30VDC, 0.3A @ 60VDC, and 0.5A @ 125VAC. Small footprint and compact (10mm x 7.5mm x 12mm). While these relays are rated at 5VDC coil, and we certainly don't recommend that you power relays out of specification, we have run them continuously at low-to-moderate ambient temperatures at up to 12VDC across the relay coils (no series resistor), and pulsed them at up to 24 volts across the coils (50% or less duty cycle). For continuous operation and coil voltages between about 10VDC and 60VDC, we wire in an appropriate sized resistor wired in series with the relay coil to not overdrive the coil (I also usually add an appropriate sized capacitor wired in parallel to the series resistor to greatly speed up mechanical operation by kick-starting the coil). Just by using series resistors, we need only this one 5V relay type for virtually all of my board SPST and SPDT relay functions from 5 VDC to 60 VDC! Mechanical operation up to 10 Hz for 5 volts coil voltage - higher for greater relay coil voltages. Mechanical service life up to 5 million operations. Conforms to FCC Part 68 voltage surge. Ideal for telecommunications, security, computers and robotics.

These Motorola LB1060 type Loop Termination Switch ICs are now a very rare collectible, as well as being ideal for many kinds of telephone security applications, telephone interfaces, including telephone networks, telephone diagnostics, as well as for many non-telephone uses. This legendary LB 1060AB Motorola bilateral switch IC is also referred to as a Remote Subscriber Line Test Unit, such as lineman's handset / lineman's test set, and as a Remote Isolation Device / Maintenance Termination Unit (RID/MTU).

The Motorola AT&T LB1060 consists of two independent switches, which can be used together or separately. The LB1060 is ideal for phone and network diagnostic, interface and security work and very useful for many other non teleco circuit uses. This LB1060's many non-phone uses include a simple generator for sawtooth and pulse waveforms, low-voltage LED flasher, power supply crowbar, overvoltage detector, simple memory or latch, analog switch, digital switch, lamp flashers, doorbell circuits, alarm systems, and as an AM radio alignment generator.

For phone uses, the 1060 is generally used to diagnose the quality of phone lines, to interface other circuits to phone circuits, and for phone security applications (e.g. detecting when a bug or tap is on a line or when an unauthorized person has lifted up and extension phone). Each bilateral switch switches one side of the telephone line. Wiring is simple, cheap and uses few parts: (1) Pins 1 & 8 are connected together. (2) Pins 4 & 5 are connected together. (3) A 20uf capacitor and 150 ohm resistor are wired in series on the Tip (green wire) line between the teleco side and the customer equipment side, and Pin 2 of the 1060 is connected to the teleco side and Pin 3 to the customer side (Pins 2 & 3 are the contacts of one bilateral switch). (4) A 20uf capacitor and 150 ohm resistor are wired in series on the Ring (red wire) line between the teleco side and the customer side, and Pin 7 is connected to the teleco side and Pin 6 to the customer side (Pins 6 & 7 are the contacts of the other bilateral switch). (5) Parallel to each 20 uf capacitor is wired a 3.3 Mohm resistor (to discharge the capacitor). (6) On the customer side of the 1060, between the tip and ring is wired in series a 1N4007 rectifier (cathode towards Tip), a 20V zener diode (anode towards tip), and a 157 Kohm resistor; this circuit is active only when reverse polarity is applied to the tip and ring lines, and is used to diagnose this condition.

The LB 1060 IC is the heart of each Northern Telecom 2960L4 Interface (NT 2960 Interface), which circuit is basically described above, all together in one epoxy block. To remove the 1060 from the Northern Telecom 2960 Interface block requires considerable work with epoxy solvent and/or dental picks - much easier and safer to just buy the 1060s from me!

Each bilateral switch snaps ON when the teleco line voltage is present and exceeds 17 Volts (Off Hook condition), and snaps OFF when its current drops under 3 ma (On Hook condition. When ON, each of the 20uf and 150ohm circuits are bypassed. Because of this automatic switching due to certain voltage and current conditions and the fact that the 1060 can take much higher voltages than common bilateral switches, the 1060 cannot be directly replaced by other bilateral switches, such as the CMOS 4016 (e.g. CD4016B, MC14016B) and the CMOS 4066 (e.g. CD4066B, MC14066B), both of which require additional wiring and parts to emulate the 1060 but even so are still limited to relatively low voltages.

The AT&T LB1060AB was originally priced at about $4.40 each - even then they were reputedly highly restricted for teleco uses only. Highly restricted probably because the AT&T 1060 is cherished by phone phreakers because they could (and still) can interface many different types of circuits to phone lines for their various phone color box applications and experiments, and other phone interface circuits.
